kisses and cake
as i listen to this wonderful music by John Powell "kisses and cake" of the movie PS I Love You,(its a novel later made into a movie) and close my eyes , it takes me into the world which i always dreamed of.the world filled with trees of all kinds - tall and short ,birds of all sorts of species flying around and beautiful mountains.I stand in the middle of a field with my hands spread and suddenly it rains.then , i looked up in the sky in order to let the water fall into my face and i closed my eyes to fell the beauty of rain.then as the music goes faster i run,i run not because someone is chasing me or someone asked me to, i run because i felt like running, there is no one to ask me to stop or some fear which makes me stop.as i run i fell as if i m a bird, i have nothing to worry about,no any deadlines, nothing to think about, just run and run.as the music slows down, i slow down my pace, then as the music stops and my eyes opened ,i am back to the real world.

criminals or politicians
just returned from home today.so after a 5 and a half hour journey m quite tired.well i stayed at home for 2 days,as i had some 2 days of bihu holidays.could not enjoy the holidays as i used to whenever i go home as elections are few days away,so u know how these candidates campain.i fail to understand why these guys cant campain peacefully, why is that every time election approaches, we hear more news of some party people killing other parties people, some party planting a bomb at railway tracks.why cant the elections be held peacefully.are we going to select a leader based on their criminal record or for their work for society.we people dont need such a election which create chaos in society,we need peace,we want to enjoy our lives, we want to move freely,we dont want a life of constant fear that if we roam around in roads after 8pm we might land in danger.
few hours ago, i happen to read a article where i found that the parliament allows a candidate with the maximum of 2 yrs in prison to participate in elections.now what the fuck is this?this means that a person who had been in prison for 2 years can become our country Prime Minister.are we going to allow a criminal to lead our country.Fuck, infact a person with a criminal record is not even allowed to be a school employee.well the fact is a fact, and this is what is happening with our country and we are all aware of this fact.
now lets talk abt their education qualification, wait do they have any?yea they do have, they do show in their cv that they are bsc or msc pass.now how many of us do believe what they do show in their cv's are real?consider even if they are real, from which institute or college?well one can argue that even Mr. Bill Gates does not have a degree still he founded Microsoft.or one can argue that what has working for a society to do with some silly degrees.right, now let me write in the next few lines what these degree means(they are just what i fell ,one can always comment on it).yea, its true what has degree to do with my work for society.i work for society,i work for their welfare,so where does the degree comes here.well the degree may not come directly but what one does to get the degree comes here, the education that one gets really comes into play.he may be working for a society, he may be working for their welfare, but what the guarantee that the work or welfare that he implemented is a success.that's where the need for degree comes ,today we all know what Microsoft is,but we also know that the people they recruit, all of their employees are the best brains of the world.Mr. Bill Gates might have founded Microsoft, but he cant even imagine of running the company with people without degrees.
i m not going to conclude this article with a solution, because we all got solution for this, yes we do.but the question is the implementation, how do we make our country free of such corrupted politician?how do we?

newness
past few days i have been playing like m not at iit but at some sport academy- play tennis for hours and then run for another cricket match and that too without having taken food.u feel good when u do it for a day, but honestly not when u r doing it regularly for the past few days.bad also because i have not done my home work in acads field.got lot of subjects to study-and the worst part being, some topics are such that even after reading them for 2-3 times u don't understand.with end sem approaching, the only way to survive this sem is to stop all sort of unnecessary activities like cricket and study.
today's day has been something new for me.i went to kv iit school to teach some students from the nearby areas.actually these students are those children who never got a chance to study or could not complete their studies(till 10th level) due to various reasons.few months back, some students from our institutes felt that there is a need to literate some unprivileged children from some neighbouring areas.so some guys started a camp called NO ILLITERACY ZONE,to remove illiteracy ,and since then it's operating.
its was a nice experience to teach students A B C.......,though its never easy to teach.infact this made me wonder how did i ever learn them.sometimes these children are able to write A-Z ,but when i ask them to write from Z-A the get fumbled.sometimes i have to repeat the same thing again and again.......well the moral of the story is that teaching is a real challenge and this challenge can be met only when you enjoy them.
coming back to the camp,i salute those guys that started such a camp ,we need more camps like this in our country.if we really want to see our country developed and leading along with other countries ,we educated guys have to get up and come up with such ideas.jai hind....

finally the final
after waiting for 2 days for the rain to stop, finally the rain stop and here came the much waited final........between kapili and manas.....actually i was happy that the match was delayed for 2 days ....though i wanted it to be delayed by a day more ( as a) i was recovering from a sudden illness and b)the next day i had a quiz).but whatever this is life and u cant expect everything to go ur way...so the matched started, the first 2 matches were between morin vs bhaskar and me vs puyush.my match started,i was nervous initally and i didn't start well and he lead was leading 3-0 at one time.then the first set ended me losing 3-6.even in the second set i could not do much i lost the second set 1-6.i was honestly not satisfied with my performance,my forehand which is one of my main weapon did not work,i made lot of unforced errors.but whatever,i guess i got lot to learn from this loss and i hope to do better in coming days.....
on the other side morin defeated bhaskar 6-3,6-4(note:morin was down 1-4 in the second set),which labeled the overall score by 1-1.then we won the doubles match and our captain won his singles match which made the overall score 3-1.result:kapili def. manas 3-1.this means that kapili hostel won this year inter-hostel tournament........hip hip huray.......

inter-hostel tennis final
Well its the time for final,we(kapili team) are through to the final.we gona play manas hostel.they have some really good players and to be honest we guys are quite excited to play them.the good thing is that we have already defeated them in the league matches, but that hardly matters now,as of now they are a new and modified team(by looking at the way they reached the finals).and now what matters is not that we play good matches ,but what really matters is we play a match that leads to victory.there is a slight but important difference in playing a good match and playing a match that leads to victory.to be honest i didn't know this difference till today.today, i witness the match between morin(the exchange guy from french) and shyam sir.and morin def shyam sir 6-0,6-0.from the scoreline one may come to conclusion that morin produced some extraordinary shots or some winners that the opponent could hardly do anything.if u think so,u r wrong.what morin actually did was, he played according to the situation.he first of all understood his opponent and since shyam sir does more slice than hitting shots he made him run as much as possible, also played some cheap shots and whenever he found any gaps he placed the ball in that direction.that's how he won the match even though he is a sort of a person who can play some extraordinary shots.in short that's the difference between playing well and playing to win.
God bless our team.....
our team members are:
1.anshul(captain)
2.morin
3.ankur(me)
4.chetan.

6-7(2-7),6-1,6-2
thats the score of the match which i won vs Kalita Sir,at the semis of inter-hostel tennis match.this is for the second time in my life that the match has gone to the 3rd set and in both i lost the first set and then I came back to win the next 2 sets.It feels good to come back such a way in match ,it really tests ur patience and checks how focus u r in the match.and to be honest it was not that easy match to play as there was wind blowing throughout the match and u really have to adjust to the situation to come up with some winners.sometimes when u try to place the ball u find the ball flying out of the line and sometime the ball that is supposed to fly out come back in the base line........anyway its a wonderful feeling to win such a match....
