lesson to be learned

some great people say life is beautiful and one should enjoy it to its limits. I can almost guarantee u that it was no so for andy roddick after that heart breaking final. after being so close to holding that beautiful cup and still witnessing the guy on the other side of the net holding that is never good sight to watch even if he is ur good friend. As roger said after the match its crazy tennis can sometimes be cruel. Yes, it can be, like what was the difference between roddick and federer, i guess both played wonderfully and gave everything they could, yet one had to be a loser. why? well i have no answers for that. But its sports and its a part of sports and one has to move on...i understand what andy must be feeling now, infact i m still to mentally come out of the match, i still fell that the match is on and the winner is yet to be decided.whatever be the case, roger u r a true champion and i salute u for that but my heart goes for andy, who played superb tennis and i would love to see u as a champion in years to come.

When Roddick was asked if he struggled to stay positive after losing the second set, he replied: “You know, at that point, like everything else, there's two options: you lay down or you keep going. The second option sounded better to me." yes, it true with our life too, we always have two options, one to learn from our mistakes and move on and the other to unaccept our mistakes and blame it on others and do the same mistakes over and over again. some of us chose the former while some the later. few days back i witness two guys in my lobby fight for some really silly thing. the thing was that ankit has a habbit of leaving his room locked by turning on his music player in his laptop. rahul had hardly any problem with that, but the problem was that ankit leves his room playing the same song again and again. so he fond it too boring to listen the same song repeatively. ofcouse, his problem was understandable, infact anyone would find it boring to listen to a single song for 10 or 15 times at one go.rahul would have had no problem if he would have left his room playing different songs. the next day, ankit did the same, so this time rahul asked him politely to not to play the same song again and again when he left his room. ankit, i dont why, infact i was surprised to see his reaction, reacted in strong voice "what u gona do if i play the same song gain and again", rahul again explained to him politely but ankit was in no mood to understand what the other person was actually meaning. so even rahul got heated up with his reaction and this is how the fight took place. later on when he met ankit again, rahul apologized to ankit for his behavior(i dont know why) and he explained what was his actual concern. this time ankit listened to his saying but he never apologized, though it was he who reacted first without even listening to what actually rahul meant. well, i admire what rahul had done, it takes lot of guts and balls for one to do such brave act. he felt that he was also responsible for that fight and so he corrected himself while the other guy felt that the quarrel was entirely due to rahul and never apologized.

well this is how the life goes, sometimes we are on the winner side and sometimes on the losing side, the important thing is that we learn from our faults and make ourselves better.

yes, it has happened

yes, roger has done it and has done it with his signature mark.i doubt if any one might have thought of swiss master kissing the french cup before the tournament started.infact he was no where close to favourate even though he defated nadal at madrid open just few days before the french open.many of the tennis great said nadal is going to be the winner. yes looking at the run nadal had since last year french open to this year, winning french open, Wimbledon, Olympic gold medal then semis at US open and then the australian open, i guess many of us had no doubt at all in him biting the french cup for the 5th consecutive time.but it's tennis and as nadal said if u dont play good tennis, u deserve to lose and one can take no match easy for granted. one has to play best tennis no matter who is on the other side of the net.

federer with the experience on his side had a start that he wanted to. i guess soderling might have been nervous at the beginning, but in the second set, he did play really good, but one can hardly do anything when when federer serves like a bullet(maybe nadal might have done something).the swiss have a early break in the opening of 3rd set and since then there was no looking back for federer.

as federer severes for the championship point at 5-4 and the forehand shot from soderling touched the net, federer kneels down at the court and cries.it was really a great feeling to see him finally get his biggest french title after being defeted in final for 3 consecutive time.well done federer, and also soderling- u did what no one (incl federer ) could do here at roland garros i.e def nadal.the world salutes u federer, for being such a great and gentle ambassador of sports.

french open final

well, roger is still there, no matter what critics say abt him that his time is over or he needs some psychophysical help or whatever, the million dollar answer is that he is still there to win his 14th slam and matched sampras record.looking at the way in which he progressed to the final, some critics may again say that he is not at his top form,2 times he had played a five setter to reach the final.and in both cases he had to come back from close to defeat.now is't that define what a great champion he is?after all that's what a champion does? coming back from edge of defeat, unwilling to give up no matter what. i guess sometimes what counts is not just playing good tennis but a match that leads to victory.

well its 4th consecutive french open final for roger federer, (in the previous 3 finals he lost to rafael nadal) and he plays soderling, soderling had dream run here at french open, a guy who has never gone beyond 3rd round at any grand slams is playing final vs roger.i guess its going to be a wonderful match(i hope roger does it in 3 set itself, still let's see) and would love to c roger lifting up the trophy.to be honest, he really deserves it, the reasons:

1)its his 4th consecutive final and was in the prev 3 finals he was defeated by only one guy rafael nadal.

2)since 2004, he has never been knock out of any grand slam before the semis, that tells what consistent guy he is and a ambassador of sports.

3)he has been never won french open title though he has never lost to any other player other than rafa since 2004.

soderling too had a great run here at french open, he did what roger could not do here at french open, i.e def nadal.its a guarantee that the match is going to be wonderful- in one side we have roger, fighting to win his only non-tasted slam and his 14th and on other side soderling to taste his first grand slam win.

so guys let's booked our seat in the T.V room to witness the great final.

holiday time continued

who doesn't like holidays? i guess everyone like it.holidays are great and its even better when spent wisely.this is what i m trying for the last few days - to spent my precious holiday time wisely.last few weeks had been really wonderful weeks of my life, i went home, met some friends there, read some novels, played tennis(at top form in clay),watched tennis(Madrid Open and now French Open) .So as a whole, i had a wonderful time at home.

currenty, m doing my summer course here and m also working on network security, and ofcourse watching French Open.it was not the best of the feeling to see rafa lose the fourth round match to some guy called Soderling. after all i was hoping to see a final match between rafa and roger.but it a part of the game, it's not possible to win every time he steps into the court.after all he has been playing tennis for the last 5 months continuously which is ofcorse very trying, why the other guy is fresh.still the amazing thing i found in that match was the way rafa fought through out the match.yea it was true that rafa was not able to hit the ball with as much energy as he used to, but still he was trying to bring as much energy as he can at that time.even when he was 2-6 down in tie-break in the forth set, he was still there in the match not letting the opponent get any easy point. may be that's why he is such a champion. at 22, six grand slams.

well the good thing is the roger is still there and today he will play monfils in quaters.this time roger has to produce his best inorder the come over monfils "sliderman".roger all the best.the world knows what a great champion u r............

coming back to my story, well i dont have any more thing to say till now.........
when i will have one, i will surely write it here.............

holiday time

its been a long time since i wrote a blog the last time.so many events had taken place since my last blog, seminar, end-sem exams, and lot of movies.......so now, still sitting in my room at hostel while most of my friends have gone abroad for interns, m wondering what to do in these 2 and a half months of holidays(ofcourse i do have a course to do). actually i did plan a lot abt how to spent my holidays during my seminar and exams days, but m quite unable to implement it.whatever, still lot of time left, lot of things are coming ahead like- french open, Wimbledon ,of-course my extra course and may be some cat prep.

like every end leads to new beginning, every end of end semester exams also leads to a new sem(i guess it's a great rhyming), the great thing abt the coming sem is that it's the 7th sem i.e the 2nd last sem of my life at iitg.in short, my at final year, though i m officially yet to be at final year m starting to fell it.and its really a great feeling.so inorder to share my feeling abt my journey at iitg and my final days here, i m going to start a new blog. a blog named "my final days at IITG".

the main motive behind creating this new blog is that, i want to make sure that my fellings abt life at iitg remain alive even after 20, 30, ...,50 years from now.i want to make sure that maybe after 25 years when my daughter asks me to tell me about my college days i can provide her this link.another reason behind this new blog is so that when i m on my last few days of my life i can open up this blog and close my eyes and get the feel of those days.........................so here is my new blog...

kisses and cake

as i listen to this wonderful music by John Powell "kisses and cake" of the movie PS I Love You,(its a novel later made into a movie) and close my eyes , it takes me into the world which i always dreamed of.the world filled with trees of all kinds - tall and short ,birds of all sorts of species flying around and beautiful mountains.I stand in the middle of a field with my hands spread and suddenly it rains.then , i looked up in the sky in order to let the water fall into my face and i closed my eyes to fell the beauty of rain.then as the music goes faster i run,i run not because someone is chasing me or someone asked me to, i run because i felt like running, there is no one to ask me to stop or some fear which makes me stop.as i run i fell as if i m a bird, i have nothing to worry about,no any deadlines, nothing to think about, just run and run.as the music slows down, i slow down my pace, then as the music stops and my eyes opened ,i am back to the real world.

criminals or politicians

just returned from home today.so after a 5 and a half hour journey m quite tired.well i stayed at home for 2 days,as i had some 2 days of bihu holidays.could not enjoy the holidays as i used to whenever i go home as elections are few days away,so u know how these candidates campain.i fail to understand why these guys cant campain peacefully, why is that every time election approaches, we hear more news of some party people killing other parties people, some party planting a bomb at railway tracks.why cant the elections be held peacefully.are we going to select a leader based on their criminal record or for their work for society.we people dont need such a election which create chaos in society,we need peace,we want to enjoy our lives, we want to move freely,we dont want a life of constant fear that if we roam around in roads after 8pm we might land in danger.

few hours ago, i happen to read a article where i found that the parliament allows a candidate with the maximum of 2 yrs in prison to participate in elections.now what the fuck is this?this means that a person who had been in prison for 2 years can become our country Prime Minister.are we going to allow a criminal to lead our country.Fuck, infact a person with a criminal record is not even allowed to be a school employee.well the fact is a fact, and this is what is happening with our country and we are all aware of this fact.

now lets talk abt their education qualification, wait do they have any?yea they do have, they do show in their cv that they are bsc or msc pass.now how many of us do believe what they do show in their cv's are real?consider even if they are real, from which institute or college?well one can argue that even Mr. Bill Gates does not have a degree still he founded Microsoft.or one can argue that what has working for a society to do with some silly degrees.right, now let me write in the next few lines what these degree means(they are just what i fell ,one can always comment on it).yea, its true what has degree to do with my work for society.i work for society,i work for their welfare,so where does the degree comes here.well the degree may not come directly but what one does to get the degree comes here, the education that one gets really comes into play.he may be working for a society, he may be working for their welfare, but what the guarantee that the work or welfare that he implemented is a success.that's where the need for degree comes ,today we all know what Microsoft is,but we also know that the people they recruit, all of their employees are the best brains of the world.Mr. Bill Gates might have founded Microsoft, but he cant even imagine of running the company with people without degrees.

i m not going to conclude this article with a solution, because we all got solution for this, yes we do.but the question is the implementation, how do we make our country free of such corrupted politician?how do we?
